Copying files from flash drive

Ok, so this question is in 2 parts. 

My prior tablet was a Microsoft Surface and I have copied all my documents onto a flash drive. Is it possible to copy those files over to my Galaxy Tablet? If so, how would I do that?

If that is possible, my flash drive is a USB drive. Is there an adapter to a mini USB so I can attach it to this tablet since there is no USB drive.

@mesport Yes you can do that.

1. Connect the drive to your tablet. Use the My Files app to move files from the flash drive to internal tablet storage.
2. Yes adapters are available.
