Galaxy Tab A7 Google Voice Typing grayed out...

In the voice input...but it isnt even showing up on keyboard lists. Only samsung keyboard.

Okay. So let me start from the beginning. I have 3 Samsung Galaxy phones. Only one is using mobile service. The rest are all using Wi-Fi. They all use Google voice typing (GVT) with the samsung keyboard, with no problem. This Galaxy A7 tablet was always working with the Google voice typing GVT, until the other day it stopped and for the life of me I can NOT it working again. The other phone are stull working fine with GVT.

Now, first of all I need to add that I NEVER installed GBOARD on any of the phones or this tablet. But the Tablet had a update not to long ago that messed it all up.

How do i get GVT back on my tablet? Like i say I never ever installed gboard on any of my devices. And seems all the help videos and posts, states to make the the GVT is selected in the voice input in the samsung keys but as insaid it is greyed outs. So that is not much help. Other help communities say it install GBOARD, which have never had to do before. Can someone help me withe getting it back on my tablet som it works, i am disabled and need it. Thank you in advanced.

Also I need to add the problem is not the microphone icon on the samsung keyboard as it is there except it doesnt use GVT like it used to on this tablet. It uses the Samsung voice but it isnt working properly for me. Where as all the other phones I have the microphone icon works with GVT with no problem

Is there a setting in the google app thats messing it up? As google app did get an update

According to that link, it says the GVT is one of the two voice inputs that are automatically installed on phones and tablets, I guess meaning we do NOT need Gboard so how do I get it back on my tablet as the default again

I guess there's no support agents that read these forums. But any rate I just want to make one more addition to my post, I fixed it on my own. It's now back working again.

Google voice typing should be able to be selected regardless of whether or not G-Board is installed.  It is a basic feature of Android phones, since Android is a Google product.  You mentioned that you fixed it on your own -- you should state what you did and mark it as your solution so that others who may have the same problem can follow your steps.  And, no, Samsung tech agents do not read these forums, this is a peer-to-peer help site.  On some issues, the moderators may see it and give some limited support and advice.  If you want true tech support from Samsung, you would need to go to your device care settings on your device or the support tab of the members app to submit an error report along with your device logs for analysis.
