Galaxy Tab6 Screen not working

I tried to use my Galaxy Tab6 today and the screen would not come up when I hit the power button, it is fully charged.  I used the volume down and power button to restart.  After restart, the screen lights up but when I go to sign in, the screen doesn't work when I try to swipe up to login.  Additionally once the screen times out, I cannot get it to turn back on with the power button.  Please help!  This thing is not even a year old!
