Galaxy tab s6 book cover keyboard's not working

I just received my tab s6 2 days ago. Everything worked well but today it's start an issue. My book cover keyboard is not working although it's connected to my tab and the virtual keyboard disapeared. Please someone help me to fix this issue.

I SOLVED MINE!

PROBLEM: 

The Keyboard doesn't work but it is still detected by the device when physically connected and the keypad's working. When I press  letter "V" it just pastes. Luckily, my mother has the same device, and when I tried and transferred the external keyboard on her tab s6, it worked. So I thought maybe it was the settings of my tab s6. I reset the keyboard settings, still didn't work. WHAT BLEW MY MIND IS THAT IT ONLY PASTES. So that gave me an idea that the problem lies with the CTRL button.

SOLUTION: The Ctrl key might be hanging up. I tried to press ctrl button multiple times and it solved the problem!

CONCLUSION: The Ctrl button can hang up. that means any button can hang up physically too. To fix, try pressing the hanging key multiples times. This might be caused by putting your gadget on your bag or accidentally putting heavy things over the keyboard.

I just wanted to write to let you know that this solved it for me!

My keyboard had for a long time been detected but not working. I had just about stopped using the tablet because of this but after mashing Ctrl for a few seconds everything suddenly worked.

I had exact same issue, originally my keyboard was working flawlessly, but I didn't really need it so I just put it away. In the meantime I used on screen keyboard, but I really dislike Samsung on screen keyboard so I downloaded Google keyboard. Long story short, I decided to connect my keyboard case back months after not using it, and it worked sporadically. Mostly it ust didn't work, so I tried doing safe mode, but that was waste of time. My Samsung Galaxy tab s6 was fully updated so there were no updates available. I was getting ready to call Samsung and waste an hour of my life just waiting for someone to answer my call while being on hold. What I've noticed is when I connect my keyboard the times that it did work I got a notification that a physical keyboard is connected, which is not how it used to be, so I went into input setting and I've noticed that under physical keyboard there was also setting for gboard but language was not specified. When I did select the language my keyboard started working without any issues. Hope that helps.

Got the S7 tab and keyboard cover through TMobile. The tablet has not recognized the keyboard at all. I've tried a factory reset and everything I can think of.

Same thing here, i just bought my tab s7+ few weeks ago and then the keyboard cover suddenly stopped working. It's really disappointing and not worth my money buying this expensive tablet with a cheap keyboard cover.

TRY THIS!!

I was having this same issue with mine today after almost a year. I have the galaxy tab s6 with keyboard case. I went to settings>General management>Language and Input. Once you get there you can see under Physical Keyboard if it says connected or not. If not, take a qtip and some rubbing alcohol and clean the entire groove of the keyboard where it connects, as well as the tablet where it connects. Don't oversaturate the qtip when you go over the gold metal connections. Mine was hardly even dirty at all but enough to keep it from connecting. Let it dry a minute then connect. It should say connected right away in the settings. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Keyboard not connected, tried everything in this thread, including working all keys

Disconnect keyboard and slammed upside down on the table (easy first)

Connected back up again.

Guess something got stuck and released or reconnected again.

For the rest good machine as I can also run a few navigation apps from it with gps,

Maybe gonna ask for a 11 plus with reduction.

Book cover worked perfectly then I took it off for a while. Just reattached it and the Tab S6 does not acknowledge there is a keyboard attached. I also noticed closing the book cover does not turn the screen off.
