TabletsHello!
Multiple times my keyboard won't get detected properly, and I found out that the magnetic metal beside my tab got dirty (the 4 metal flat dots beside the tab). So I cleaned them with clean dry cloth. It usually solves the problem.
Also I tried checking in the Settings if my keyboard is detected: Check Settings > Language and Input > Physical keyboard. Once I connected my keyboard to the tab (Galaxy Tab S6), it should be detected- otherwise I just clean the grime off again.
Disclaimer: I am not a professional, I just troubleshoot things when they happen, and so far they are working 😄 Just dry cloth without fiber and it removes the grime/dirt usually.
If this doesn't work, then I suggest updating the firmware, and asking for professional help.

TabletsI have this exact issue. It was working fine but I haven't needed the keyboard the past six weeks or so and as the cover is so unwieldy when you are just using it as a tablet I had it removed. I had some things I needed to use and connects it for Dex mode and now it doesn't work at all. Also the back cover never stays on. For the premium tablet this stinks . Kinda wish I had gotten and iPad Pro since now even that has mouse support.

Tabletsthe solution for me was to stuff warranty in the corner between the keyboard and the tab on the left hand side,
my tab kept reporting that the keyboard had disconected. i would take it off and re attach it and it would work for a few minutes. then the diconect message again.
conclusion there was a problem with the connections, by trail and error over a few minutes i discovered the magnets are the problem. in fact the whole designe is the problem. anyway i stuck the warenty book between the keyboard and tab just enough to lift the tab up a few milimeters and it stopped the fault from reappearing.
i,v gone from telling people how good the s6 is too telling people how bad the finnish is.
but on the other hand the s20 ultra i just got is awsome so far after 4 days of use, and it works well with the tab. ill think of a better solution over the next day or so than using samsungs warranty that came with the keyboard. baybe a matchstick slimmed down to the right size.
i dont have time to ship it back for repair again..........

Tablets*if your samsung physical keyboard w trackpad/mousepad is not functioning or not being recognized by your tab s6: the solution i found to work is to attach the usb-c charger that is 5v 2a to the tablet [either the exact charger that came with the tab s6 or a similar unit] and then attach the keyboard, this will somehow make the keyboard work again instantly - i saw this in the comments for a youtube video which is more about the big issue of how most people don't know how to attach the back kickstand part to their tablet, -clean back of tablet with alcohol or windex, wipe clean and dry -remove clear plastic visqueen off the black "adhesion pad" on the back cover [don’t remove this black part from the kickstand back cover though, some people are removing this too -and press center and it will stay on better than you want it too, but that problem gets so much attention it makes finding the solution to getting the keyboard to "work" with the tablet when it is not being recognized impossible to even search for the solution, so here you go, pug in the usb-c charger that came with the tab s6 and attached your keyboard while it is plugged in and the keyboard will come back from the dead, i hope this works for everyone having this problem! 😃 -jf

TabletsI can't get my keyboard to work (the physical one). I tried in safe mode, tried checking the accessory settings and nothing is working.
