Is this a wi-fi tablet or one being used through a carrier?  Have you attempted to connect to any different networks out of the ordinary?

Wi-fi I think. No haven't tried other networks.

If possible, please give that a try for us.  Even something as simple as a hotspot on your phone would be worth testing.
