BTW - The lost PIN in not the result of laxity or poor operating practices. I've been medically unable to use the device for many months, and now, in the ever declining mental capacity to remember things, I simply don't remember where I recorded the PIN and other relevant information. So, thank you for attempting to help a very old man.
My password is so ingrained into my brain, I couldn't forget it if I tried. If I ever changed it, I would still likely try to use it. I changed the PIN on my bank card 5 years ago, and I *still* have to think twice before I enter it at the bank. But, I do understand that going many months without entering a PIN may cause one to not remember it
This also highlights the importance of having a specific place where one files away important information and documents.
