Multiple pop-ups after latest security update

Ever since the latest security update I've been having multiple pop-ups appear. I have not visited any websites that I had not previously. I managed to disable some of them by disabling the Google app, and Chrome, but they are still appearing.

I suspect a 4rd party app not the update

I have not installed any apps since a month before the update.

@Lifebane It may have been a 3rd party app that you installed previously but a recent update to the app added malicious code.

How would I go about figuring out what that app might be?

@Lifebane The Nice Catch module of Samsung's Good Lock could help. But, IME, you just have to remove some apps, see if it helps. If it doesn't remove some others. Continue the process until it is solved.

Do you have a carrier locked phone?  The update may have installed some of their unwanted software and that software has malicious code.  As @LongHiker said, you can either uninstall all recently installed apps or download Good Lock/Nice Catch and turn on the "detect commercials" and "detect toasts" controls and then look at the app immediately after one of the popups.  Also, make sure app protection is on in the security settings and run a scan.  You may also benefit by downloading an anti-malware app, such as AVG, Malwarebytes or Avast and running a scan.

I just downloaded nice catch and followed your directions. We'll see what it has to say. I already have AVG installed, it detected no malware. Thank you for your input
