Has anyone else installed the One UI 8 update on their tablet? I'm surprised to see that nothing has been posted here about this recently released software. I installed the update yesterday and everything appears to be working except for Modes and Routines. Attempting to open Modes and Routines causes the Settings app to immediately close with a message stating that Modes and Routines cannot be opened while Dex mode is enabled. This occurs regardless of whether Dex mode is enabled or not. I use Dex mode on just my tablet's screen, and there are some changes to its functionality now, which users will need to get used to.

I knew that clearing the cache partition, which I haven't tried yet, would be the first recommendation I would receive. It's the most common recommendation posted here and I thank you for it. My question is why hasn't Samsung automated the process to occur automatically in the background with every update? It's ridiculous that users, the majority having no technical experience, need to manually boot their devices into a special mode, scroll a menu and select the correct option to get this done.

Good question!

I have found Ui8 to be a buggy mess on my Tab S10+. The task bar keeps staying on the screen under my favorites docks.

Yes, we are all seeing various issues with the update I guess. Hopefully, Samsung will get everything resolved soon. Is your tablet's Modes and Routines working properly?

I have cleared the cache partition which made no difference. Repeating what I had posted yesterday, whether Dex is enabled or not results in the same message stating that tablet mode must be enabled to open Modes and Routines. In addition, attempting to open Modes and Routines results in the crash of the Settings app.

I am not surprised. I have to assume that all Tab S10's with One UI 8 are experiencing this behavior with Modes and Routines. Samsung needs to address this problem ASAP.

I have to assume that all updated Tab S10 Plus tablets, and likely other versions too, are experiencing this problem. Samsung needs to address and correct this problem ASAP. Modes and Routines is a major Samsung feature on their devices and is now operating in a crippled state. User configured settings may currently still be in a functional state, but the app will not open, preventing users from making any changes to their Modes and Routines. This is unacceptable!
