I had a problem with my tablet after I did a update and I had asked so many people in Samsung and I did a search and I found a Samsung store quite away from me but I called them and they called me back and the man that I spoke with asked me what was happening and he had me download smart tutor and he did a remote control in my tablet and with just a few minutes he asked me to click on the power button and the power and restart button was back again and I sure wias a very pleased person now. 😀 and all the others did not help solve this problem 😕

What he likely did was went into the settings and switched the button action back to the power key.  For future reference, should it happen again, go to settings/advanced features/side button.  Select long press and then select "power off menu".

Visuals for you, pull down from the top right, tap on the button I have circled in the first screenshot, then scroll to bottom of the tablet, then tap on side key settings, then tap on long press, tap on power off menu!
