On my Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, I noticed that there was a dead zone on every drawing app I used at the top-right corner of the screen. At first, I thought the official Samsung Keyboard case's magnets were causing the issue. However, even with the case removed, the problem persisted. The dead zone went away only when I removed the included s-pen from its magnetic holder on the tablet. In fact, the dead zone was right above where the s pen was connected to the tablet. The same issue happened when I got a replacement, and I didn't even put the keyboard case on.
I have a feeling it's the S-Pen causing the dead zone, but I'm not entirely sure.
That part of the screen can still read my finger inputs just fine; only the S-Pen has dead-zone issues. I updated to the latest One UI 5.1 on my first S8 Ultra; on my second, I did not.
Has anyone else had to deal with this issue, and would anyone have any solutions?

So I just did a quick experiment, and I'm now certain that the included S-Pen was causing the issue. I put the flat side of the pen against the back of my S22 Ultra, and wherever the pen was, a dead zone would occur when I drew on the screen. I'm happy to have a definitive source of the problem now, but I'm still no closer to finding a solution.

So, I must ask. Has anyone else had a similar problem with their S-Pen causing such an interference? What type of device was the S-Pen for? Would anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem besides not using the included S-Pen?

Do you have a third party case with a flip cover? Remove it and try again. The s pen uses magnetic fields to work. Some flip covers have a magnet in them which can interfere with the s pen.

No, the tablet didn't have a case on it.
