TabletsI installed the one UI 5.1.1 August update today and the Smart View developer options have been removed. I am no longer able to use the S6 Lite as a second screen for my windows laptop. This is EXTREMELY inconvenient. Not sure why that feature would be removed. Can that feature be accessed a different way now?

TabletsHi @mpmclaugh
Samsung has removed the Smart View developer options in One UI 5.1.1. This is likely due to a combination of factors, including privacy concerns, security concerns, and complexity.
There is no official way to access the Smart View developer options in One UI 5.1.1. However, there is a workaround that involves using a third-party app such as Smart View Mirror.
To use Smart View Mirror, you will need to install the app on both your Samsung device and your Windows laptop. Once the app is installed, you can connect your devices to the same Wi-Fi network and launch the app on both devices.
On your Samsung device, open the Smart View Mirror app and tap the "Start" button. On your Windows laptop, open the Smart View Mirror app and select your Samsung device from the list of available devices.
Once your devices are connected, you can use your Samsung device as a second screen for your Windows laptop.
Please note that Smart View Mirror is a third-party app and is not affiliated with Samsung. Samsung does not guarantee the functionality or reliability of Smart View Mirror.
I hope this information is helpful.

Any links to the app? I am not finding it in either google, Samsung or windows app stores. It is a shame they just didn't move the ability to connect to a wireless monitor with the S6 Lite to another location. If I understand correctly, other tablets have this option and it is not hidden under developer options.

TabletsThere was no privacy or security concerns about it. It was a very useful feature which is being kept out of the reach of customers which doesn't required third party app installation on both the participating devices which also saves them from installing third party app which could be malicious. It is an Act of Evil.

TabletsIf so, please remove this feature from the more expensive S7, S8 and S9 Ultra models. Everyone knows it has been disabled so customers should consider buying your expensive line tablets.

TabletsThe second screen feature was one of the reasons I bought the tablet. I purchased it last week and I'm strongly considering returning it because of this very disappointing problem. It's absurd to downgrade a previously existing feature.

TabletsWhy did they remove that option? The second screen function worked very very well, I bought the tablet for that function, they should return that function

TabletsNot sure, but i think they did it to force people who need it most to buy a more expensive tablet and/or to buy galaxy book and use its multicontrol feature. (maybe both at the same time, i'm note sure if other tabs, like s8 or s9 work as second screen to other windows 11 pc than the galaxy book)

TabletsSecond Screen was never officially supported on the Tab S6 Lite and the option was hidden in Developer Options. Either they had a desire to include it but couldn't because of issues with it or they never intended it to be an option but in any case, it was removed in One UI 5.1.1 I believe.
It is only supported in the Tab S7 and above.
