S6 will not reboot after system update

There was a system update yesterday for my S6 tablet. It's stuck in a loop and won't go past the black startup screen. I've tried the power/volume buttons. It's only a month old. It hasn't been exposed to water nor dropped. It stays plugged in at all times.

Update:

Tried soft reboot while plugged in.

Spoke with customer service, who instructed me to unplug it and soft reboot. That appears to be working, as the system update has progressed now. No idea why having it plugged in makes a difference.

@userPctFk6Mbvu um... Do you mean the Tab S6 lite? Because my Tab S6 still hasn't received an update. If you have the higher end Tab S6, how are you receiving an update? Do you have a carrier version? (like Verizon, etc...?) Or just the wifi version? Just curious, thanks!
