I have the SM T-285 which is the 280 with LTE. Mine is having the same problem. The problem was reduced by setting it on a fixed IP address. But now instead of disconnecting the connection just goes numb. It's connected with no data. This design must be flawed. I bought 5 of these. The remaining 4 are unopened! Samsung, this needs a solution!
One post suggested these additional steps. However, I'm unclear where these settigns are....
- disable Connectivity Monitor and Wireless Uplink
- set the AP is set on fixed channels
- run the lastest stable upgrade of both AP and Controller
I had a problem with an android phone one time with WiFi. Sometimes it would connect to my network, other times not. My router was set on auto channel switching. Turns out that my phone could not see the router when the router chose channels above 13. I changed the router to manual channel switching, chose channel 11, and everythings been fine for over three years now. Masybe this tablet has the same problem with channels.
