Me too all the time. I have 2 tablets as well as the laptop. I believe my laptop one ended up on my tablet but I will say this my pen has never died and does work. (I enabled option for other spens in settings) I just can't use "air" motions with spen. Tablet always says can't connect spen
The s pen on the older devices sometimes does not upgrade the software updates so you can download the spen replacement software or upgrade the device all together
These are the newest devices that's the problem I have 2 tab s8 ultras and a galaxy pro 360 2. The spen all look the same for these should be no upgrading since the are latest devices. Great idea tho. It only problem with 1 tablet I must say. I assumed my spen from laptop/tablet 360 pro got mixed up idk
