I am on a quest for a standalone cellular tablet. Even tho ads like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A-10-1-2019-32GB-WiFi-Cellular-4G-LTE-Tablet-Unlocked-T5..., claim to be a standalone phone, Samsung says no, it only works slaved to another cell phone, and needs to use Samsung's cloud service. OK. And it looks like the Huawei phones do do standalone cellular, but they've been locked out of Google Play Store, so no apps. So does that really mean there simply isn't a tablet that can make a phone call? I would love somebody to open my eyes on this one.
I don't know of any tablets that double as a cell phone. AFAIK, all cellular tablets use the cellular connection for data only. Now, that wouldn't stop you from using Google Voice to make calls from that tablet.
