Yesterday morning I received notification on my Tab S6 that a firmware update was available for the Keyboard Cover. I dismissed it since I was in the middle of something, I think the option was 'remind me later' or something like it.
I've not received another prompt yet. Is there any way to make the update happen? Didn't find anything relevant in Settings.
We are sorry to hear about this. If you go to Settings>Software Update, and check for updates, does it run the updater?
>>does it run the updater?
No. 'Download and Install' is the option. It checks for updates but doesn't find any. Probably not checking for physical keyboard firmware, although it should if one is connected.
I've raised a few issues about the keyboard and seen many others mentioned here in the community, so I hold out some hopes that the firmware update will address them.
If I can get it.
We have requested information on the update from our product specialists. We will contact you here once we receive a response.
yep., me too...jumpy and not stable.
mine too...same problem. typing an email and then out of no where it will jump or close the email. it's a mess. not usable as a physical keyboard
They issued a return to manufacturer number for me and I sent it back. Still waiting to see how that's going to go, I only sent the keyboard part because the other half is REALLY STUCK to the tablet, and the tech support guy didn't seem to understand that I didn't want to RIP IT OFF... I got pretty irate at him for that, for which I'm sorry, but seriously... Just send me the new keyboard, what is the problem?
Another annoyance is I asked them to send me the replacement, and I'd send mine back when I got it, and they weren't willing to do that either. So, support isn't all that great.
