I have had to replace my charging cable way too many times and now, i have use a usb-a to c charger. However, the device keeps restarting often and it is getting to my nerves. I will probably switch to an iPad if this doesn't get fixed. This has happened on more Samsung devices i own.

@MelonSpaceBoot Frequent replacement of cables typically only has 2 causes:

  • Using inexpensive or cheaply built cables
  • External damage caused by pets, pinching, etc.
  • Frequent flexing, bending, twisting of the cable. This will kill inexpensive or cheaply built cables fast. Well built cables will last a lot longer by mechanical flexing will eventually get to them.

I have many USB cables which are years old. I rarely have to replace a cable.

But i used to use official Samsung cables any the bend very easily by the device its charging falling the the floor, and re-aligning the cable kills it, or it just dies the moment it falls. I will just deal with this since i am not waiting 2 weeks for a new Samsung cable.

@MelonSpaceBoot I'm not sure what the cable has to do with the device falling on the floor.

Samsung cables are great and so are Anker cables. You should be able to get Anker cables with a day or so on Amazon.

Maybe it is just the device falling on the side where the cable is plugged into and bends. I have already had 2 casualties.nixtwbHZOE.jpg

@MelonSpaceBoot How exactly are you physically placing your device for charging?
