On hold now for an hour over my sons tablet with a cracked screen. Bought tablet and warranty thru samsung.com. Its a wifi tablet and has no imei number. Call to warranty company. They cannot process without imei, so they refer me to Samsung again. 7 calls to smasung, they finally start using the serial number but claim its missing digets, and ask where I purchased device!
Finally they give me a ticket number and ask me to email pics of the serial number and invoice.....that was weeks ago. Now they r saying I'd have to pay for repair and that the email has no notes to direct their actions.
The one I have is an extended warranty or insurance plan and it covers screens even if accidental. Problem is no matter what problem I have I cannot file any claim apparently unless I have an IMEI number, which this device does not have as its wifi only.
