Tablets
Hi guys
I am new here and would like to say hallo to everybody. I need your advice desparately.
I have zero knowledge about how tablets work. I don't know how files are organized on tablet and I am very confused. When I go to my files folder and want to watch few photos that are numbered in sequential order lets say from 1 to 80 they are shown in completely random order.
I would like to watch them one by one . Number one first, number two second , number three , number four etc. One member of this group in response to somebody wrote about recents folder that is included in my files folder. He wrote that recents folder is not real folder and added that in recents folder photos are organized according to some kind of algorithm. Can you guys explain to me how this works ?

TabletsThe recents folder is just an algorithm. It shows the last few photos you added or accessed. It is not a real folder, so anything you delete from there will be deleted from whatever album you placed it in. In the Gallery app, photos are automatically placed into the camera album, from there you can move them into any album you create. While you can view the photos from the file manager, I don't know what you mean by "play" them. Do you mean create a slide show?
When photos go to the gallery, you can view them in the gallery either by album or by choosing all photos. All photos is arranged in date order by the date the photo was taken. The photos in albums (including the camera album) appear to be arranged in the order they were put in the album. If you go into an album and create a slide show, the slideshow will play in the order they are in the album. If you go to the "pictures" tab to show all photos, clicking the 3-dot menu on the upper right will allow you to select all and then you will get a menu at the bottom with the option to create. You can choose to create a collage or a movie. I'm thinking you would want to create a movie. The movie frames will be in the order the photos are in.
I'm assuming here, that the gallery app on the tablet works the same as on the phone. If not, it is probably something similar, it's been a long time since I've had a tablet.

Tabletsthanks for reply
when I go to gallery app and when I click on one picture there are many pictures on bottom of the screen and I can watch them them in order. They are not in random order. On the other hand when I go to my file folder and when I click on one photo I also have many small icoons at the bottom of the screen. Unfortunately those guys are organized in random order without any aparent sequence. That's strange

TabletsIf you go into an album, you can click the 3-dot menu and choose a sort order. Sorting alphabetically would assume you named each photo. I suppose if you named the photos 1, 2, 3, it would sort in that order and a slideshow would show them in that order. But, it is tedious work renaming all your photos, especially if you have a lot of them. There may be a another photo viewer app in the Play store that will let you view photos in the order you want them, but it's not Gallery or Google photos.
TBH, most people are delighted to look at photos in random order. If they are viewed in date order, it might be pretty much the same thing, especially if you are looking at pictures of an event or vacation. I personally don't run slide shows. I look through my photos, find the one I want and do what I need to with it (edit, share, view).
