Not sure who your email provider is. With Verizon Fios, users were migrated to AOL and some are still on Yahoo. The POP and SMTP server configurations may have changed. Do look into this.
Just to make sure mine was still working I sent me a test message and it is still works. So do check the security setting and the encryption/port assignments.
seems I am late with this issue but it just started last week after an update. I receive emails but cannot send emails from my samsung phone and tablet. I get a message that says "sever cannot connect".. I have tried everything. Any ideas to fix this issue?
If your smtp server is declared correctly then I have my outgoing server port as 465 and encryption as SSL. You may want to play around with the encryption settings and see what works for you.
