Hey everyone,

For those of you who have just enrolled in the One UI Watch 8 beta program, a friendly reminder that the OTA (over-the-air) update might not show up immediately. It can sometimes take a little while for your registration to process and for the update to become available for download.

So, if you don't see it right away, don't worry! Just hang tight, and it should appear in your watch's software update section soon.

Happy testing!

Hello,

Thank you for participating in the One UI Watch Beta program.

We’ve noticed several inquiries regarding not receiving the Beta software update. Please note the following important eligibility criteria:

LTE Models (Watch with Mobile Network)
To receive the Beta update, your Watch must have an active T-Mobile LTE plan.
If the SIM is not activated or the device is not currently using T-Mobile’s mobile network, the software update will not be delivered.

Bluetooth (Watch BT models, not BT paired with Phone) Models
Bluetooth-only models are not affected and will receive the Beta software update as usual. No SIM or mobile plan is required.

If you’ve enrolled in the Beta but haven’t received the update yet, please ensure your Watch meets the conditions above.

We appreciate your feedback and participation.

Regards,
One UI Beta Team

Then why offer the option to enroll to those who don't intend to set up service on their watch? Y'all basically pulled a bate and switch here.
