We purchased the Samsung dryer DV42H5400 EF/A3 two years ago. This is the second time in two years it has stopped working. We paid $300 for the extended warranty. The warranty company, Warrantech (repair #8928138-00) set us up with a local repair business, Mel's Appliances (813)662-7505. The repair man said the dryer needs a new control panel, but they can't get the part. It has been two weeks of drying laundry at the neighbor's house. Our neighbors know now not to buy Samsung. Why aren't parts available for a two year old dryer? I seem to find them on the internet. I've called to ask Mel's Appliances, but they won't return my calls. After being on hold with Warrentech for 15 minutes, I was told to leave a number. They have not returned my call. This Samsung dryer is a lemon and the extented warranty is not worth the price!
