I bought the newest Samsung flexwash washer and dryer pair, which were sold to me with the idea of it being easy to connect these smart machines to my smart phone. I already have a Samsung Smart Things Hub which works perfectly (controls my pool pump and lights), so I thought having the smart features for the laundry machines would be easy. Not so. I have followed the directions to the very letter, viewed U-Tube videos on this and have spoken to 5 different Samsung representatives who have done everything including disconnecting our call, to taking over my phone, and still cannot get the machines to connect. To recap, I log into my Samsung account, the press the smart button on either of the machines and watch for the "AP" notation on the display. I then attempt to make the connection with my phone. Usually, the phone sees the machines and then I click on it and it starts to authenticate. it then takes me to a screen where it asks for a password. I have no idea what password it is looking for. It has been suggested that it is the wifi password so I tried that and it did not work (I did go into my wifi to confirm that I am using the right password). I then tried to use the routers fixed password....no go. I have tried my Samsung account password...not that either. Then I tried all zeroes, ones and nines and nothing worked. And none of the representatives I talked to offered anything by way of identifying what password it is looking for. All my other smart devices have authenticated and work perfectly. Can anyone tell me what that password is that is being looked for in this set up or possibly identify what I am doing wrong?

Thanks for this information, I was honestly under the impression this password was the Samsung Account password. But I am having our product specialists look into this further for you. Mind providing me with the model of your phone and the app version running on the phone?

it doesn't actually ask for my wifi password.....it just asks generically for a password. that is why this is such a mystery as I have provided the response with the password for my wifi, for my router, for smart home and for my samsung account and none of these work. it just cycles back to the request for password. this is happening after it attempts to authenticate.
