Washers and DryersHello there, and thank you for reaching out to the Community. We're sorry to hear about the unbalancing and located these instructions here- https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01209212/ to assist you further with calibrating the washer. You can also review your manual online if needed here- https://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/.

Washers and DryersAnother problem nobody is mentioning, when the load gets unbalanced, (and I've verified this) it will use about 80 GALLONS of water. Our water bill shot up excessively in the last month and i'm trying to figure out why. 9 out of 10 times the washer will get unbalanced and shutdown mid cycle (Or we will hear it banging and stop it manually). when the cycles complete to get to the end of the washing cycle, per my meter, it uses 80-90 gallons per load. This is unacceptable. Average water for washers is 15 Gallons. I have verified this with taking the meter and nothing else in the house using water, I ran this test 3 times) What do you plan to do about this?

Washers and DryersCalibrating didn't help me. I think these washers are basically defective in that they are advertise as high capacity and they have a big area for putting in clothes, but the suspension rods are not strong enough to handle high capacity. I can't replace the rods myself because the top panel has a lot of electronics attaching it to the base and I don't want to start tinkering with that, and when I got an estimate from a repair guy ($90 for the visit!) it was going to be almost as much to fix it as to buy a new machine, and then it probably would have this problem again. In short, this washer SUCKS. It lasted us under 4 years. I've had other washing machines that lasted > 10 years.

Washers and DryersSame here. Had to replace the suspension rods 3 times within a year. My washer is 3 years old. I'm about to take legal action.

Washers and DryersExperiencing the same issue with my washer - the calibration did absolutely nothing. It's ridiculous spending thousands of $$'s an appliance the ends up to be a piece of **bleep** in quality.

Washers and DryersNone of the recommendations works. Multiple threads on reddit have been posted about this UR Code error on Samsung appliances. There are other suggestions below in regard to replacing parts, but later problem comes back.
Samsung wants to charge me $140 just for tech visit. Samsung need to send a recall and repair our washer for no additional fee.
My washer was less than 4 years old and I bought 2 similar model.

Washers and DryersCompletely agree. These things are junk and if you look up videos on the problem it clearly shows that Samsung installed weak springs. I will never by a Samsung product again.

Washers and DryersI also have the issue with the machine balancing on the spin. I'm so unhappy with Samsung. I thought I was getting a great product. Not so much. In 10 hours, I have shifted items in the washer, removed items, shifted remaining items, restarted, ran rinse and spin, ran spin only and here I sit with a pile of wet throw blankets on the floor. I have the same problem now even when washing regular clothes. Any more than 6 or so like weight items, and it is unbalanced. I can't afford an expensive repair or replacement. Shame on Samsung for not issuing a recall for this. I would NEVER recommend a Samsung appliance to anyone.

Washers and DryersOur washer (bought / delivered 01/17/2023) with just over 2 years of use has developed a horrible banging during spin cycle. So this morning I decided to investigate the issue. There are 2 large concrete encased in plastic weights mounted to the front of the drum. Really uncertain how they demolished themselves. Never in 55 years have I seen this type of issue. Broken springs, bearings, rollers, etc. are very common wear issues over time, but not usually in the first 2 years. I attached a photo for all to view. Not sure how many other Samsung machines are doing this same thing, but definitely a manufacture defect and should be a 100% recall on these machines.
