Washers and DryersI have a Samsung top load Active Water Jet washer. I've had it for a few years. It would no longer do a spin cycle without going unbalanced. The washer uses inordinate amounts of water and electricity to try the spin cycle over and over and then makes an infuriating beep sound forever until you come and turn it off. I searched online and tried the solutions of upgrading the drum suspension springs and recalibrating the washer but neither helped at all. I'm resigned to the fact that this washer just doesn't have a spin cycle and I'll have to hand-wring my washing and run it through two dryer cycles until I can afford a replacement.
On the permanent press cycle, there are two no-spin options and I don't understand the difference between them. The first light unit on the spin level panel is "No spin". But on permanent press you can also choose to have nothing lit on the spin panel. With no lights lit on the spin panel the cycle time is 47 minutes. With the first light "no spin" lit, the cycle time is 52 minutes. What is the difference between these two no spin options?

Washers and DryersāNoāspinā and the icon with a slash behave differently:
No spin Ends cycle without become spinning but still drains the on water.
Spin with slash icon Means rinse hold the machine leaves water in the drum could be until you start a separate drain or spin circle cycle
