Washers and Dryers

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the single-unit washer and dryer I purchased. After six months of use, I continue to experience significant issues with the drying function. Despite following all recommended maintenance steps—including cleaning the lint filter before every cycle—the machine consistently fails to dry clothes properly.

After repeated problems, I scheduled a service appointment. The technician did not identify a malfunction with the unit itself but instead pointed to a clogged lint trap, which they mentioned is a “common” issue. Even after the trap was cleared, the problem persists: in approximately 80% of cycles, clothes remain damp or wet at the end.

This has made doing laundry incredibly time-consuming and inefficient. As a parent in a household of six, I am constantly falling behind because a single, average-sized load can take up to four hours—and often still requires line drying. Washing larger items, such as twin-size duvets, is virtually impossible, as they never dry completely.

What was marketed as a convenient, all-in-one solution has turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. I had high hopes for a machine that would simplify my routine, but instead, it has added unnecessary stress and wasted time.

I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.

I can certainly understand how frustrating this is and am delighted to assist you! The following link may provide some helpful tips for the dryer not fully drying the clothes: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00080262/.  In the event that you do try the steps listed, and the dryer still isn't drying, I would suggest having an electrician coming out to check to make sure the unit is getting the correct amount of power needed to work properly. If that's been done as well to no avail, the unit will require service.

You have a couple of options based on your warranty.

- If your unit was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service set up.
- If you're within the one-year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, you can use this link below to find a service center in your area.

I know that single wash/dry units are highly recommended for tiny homes, but I have seen MANY warnings that a load in the single units take approximately twice as long as a standard set of units, due to the fact that they're not a efficient. Just comes with the territory, i guess.

The unit does not dry my clothes, this is not part of the territory.

Agreed. If it's not drying at all, I'd look into a warranty replacement.
