Washers and Dryers

My wife called me downstairs today to show me where the drum had rubbed a hole in the left side wall of my dryer. Small hole about the side of a half dollar, some heat was generated as the paint is bubbled around it. You can place your hand on the hole and feel the drum turn.

Has anyone else had this issue?

It's a newer dryer less than 4 years old.

Anyone know if it can be fixed?

That's crazy! I haven't heard or seen anything like this happen before. I wonder how and why it happened, but it may be something that will require a more in depth look; could you send me or any of the other mods a private message with the full model and serial number as well as photos of the hole in the dryer?

Metal is really thin. Like tin foil where it sealed back. 20240423_121417_1000007965_1713892458.jpg20240423_121416_1000007964_1713892457.jpg20240423_121254_1000007963_1713892375.jpg
