I have a Samsung Bespoke Washer. Today I turned the power on, this message appeared. See video. I checked the User Manual and this message is not in the manual.  What does this mean?

Hello@Sam108! Thank you for reaching out! This does seem strange that your having this error code since this is occurring. I would recommend trying the information in the link below.

https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshoot/TSG10000997/#washing-machine-displays-an-error-code

If none of the information helps, then this will require service. Depending on your warranty, you will have a few options.

- If your unit was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service set up.
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators or you can call in directly at 1-800- 726-7864 with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, you can use this link below to find a service center in your area.

The message "2-er\_drn\_need\_tit" on your Samsung Bespoke Washer indicates a drainage issue, specifically a problem with the drain pump. It essentially means the washer needs to be tilted or the drain hose may need to be adjusted to ensure proper water flow.

Here's a breakdown of what the message likely means and how to address it:

Understanding the Message:

2-er: This likely refers to an error code or a specific error type.

drn: Short for "drain," indicating the problem is related to water draining from the washer.

need\_tit: This part suggests that the washer needs to be tilted to aid in drainage or that the drain hose might be misaligned.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Check the Drain Hose:

Ensure the drain hose is properly inserted into the drainpipe, not kinked or blocked, and isn't inserted too far (usually no more than 6 inches).

2. Tilt the Washer:

Try tilting the washer slightly to help drain the water. This might be necessary if there's a buildup of water or if the drain pump is malfunctioning.

3. Restart the Washer:

Unplug the washer or flip the circuit breaker for a minute, then plug it back in or restore power. This can sometimes reset the error code.

4. Contact Samsung Support:

If the problem persists, contact Samsung's customer support: They may be able to provide further instructions or recommend professional assistance.

So it appears it is an abbreviation for “tilt?” This is very inappropriate, Samsung.

Also, sounds like an important error code,  why isn’t it in the manual?

I found this write up on Google by doing a search of your washer error message. I hope it helps.

The Samsung washer error message "er_drn_need_tit" indicates a problem with the drain or water level sensor. It suggests that the washer is detecting water in an area where it shouldn't be, or that the sensor itself may be malfunctioning.
Here's a breakdown of possible causes and how to troubleshoot:
1. Check for Leaks:
Look for any visible signs of leaks, even small ones, around the washer and drain hose.
Make sure the hoses behind the washer are not kinked or damaged.
If you find a leak, fixing the leak will likely resolve the error.
2. Check the Drain Hose:
Ensure the drain hose is properly installed and not blocked or kinked.
The drain hose should be connected to the drain pipe and secured to the washer.
3. Test for Suds:
Run an empty cycle with no detergent or additives.
If excessive suds appear, it might indicate using too much detergent or a non-HE detergent.
Continue running empty cycles until the suds clear, then check if the error reappears.
4. Check Water Level Sensor:
The error might also be related to the water level sensor detecting a false reading.
If the issue persists after checking for leaks and the drain hose, and suds don't appear, the water level sensor may need to be checked or replaced by a qualified technician.
5. Reset the Washer:
Unplug the washer and plug it back in after 5-10 minutes.
This can help clear temporary glitches.
6. Contact Support:
If the error persists after trying the above steps, contact Samsung's customer support for further assistance.

message displayed today and in July of 2024. As soon as I start the washer, the message disappears. Here is the chat message from July:

Sam108_0-1747771849451.png

I was told it had nothing to do with the washer and was a communication glitch with the app. A text message that came through the app.

Today, first chat had no idea what it was. Then a phone call with support admitted they didn’t know what the message meant. Second chat with support says it’s a drain problem, asked for the source for their solution, they did not answer. I asked if they could explain why Samsung uses “**bleep**” in the code and support could not explain it.
Therefore, I want to know which support tech is correct, #1 in July? Or #2 today?

BTW, my washer is working just fine, no leaking, filter is clean. And I have loved my Bepoke products until today when I realized I’m being lied to.  Hope this escalates to the top of tech support and I receive a phone call with an explanation.

@Sam108 There is no need to start a new thread.

This is a user to user discussion group for Samsung US products and services. To escalate to Samsung support would be through contacting them as you have already done.
