I have a dual band router. All my devices I have, have not needed to have the bandwidths separated to function. (Such as smart switches that only work on 2.4ghz, it connects just fine without separating the 2.4ghz and 5ghz.
My washer and dryer will not connect to my wifi because it "doesn't support 5ghz". Do I really need to separate my bandwidths and reset all other smart devices to get this to work?? I feel like they should be able to connect to the dual band router without having to separate the bandwidths.
I figured it out. When setting up the wifi on the appliances, I went to my router settings and turned off my 5 ghz for setting them up. After they were set up u re-enabled the 5ghz and they stayed connected still. Been working all day. Problem solved 😌
