Hi, I bought a WD90N64FOOW/FQ 9kg washer and dryer last May. A beautiful looking beast but alas, it started giving me a lock sounding clack sound. When any mode is selected, it starts out by giving a clack sound like the door engaging its close. But the clack sound persists for 4 or 5 more times, then sound of the motor running, then a minute or so, it blacks out!
I contacted the service centre, they sent a repairman who first changed the lock set, then he also changed the drain pump. When he tested after the repair, the sound persisted. Then he dismantled the 2 items and charged me RM80, which is fair since he did come to check. They ought to be higher quality repairman cos the problem remains unsolved. Do I pay another RM80 for another try the next time? Anyway, now, he said it could be the PCB board problem which I feel a little peeved by now, the unit is less than a year old. He also suggested that it gets carted to their service centre and also wants to change the drain pump. I have an audio of the sound, can I attach the file here? Can anyone help me? By the way, when this repairman extricated the drain pump, he cleared out the drain pipe, which was stuffed with a sock, hmm... how can a sock enter into the drain pipe, I cannot imagine? Isn't there a protective system whereby clothes shouldn't get into the pipe? Seems a little funny. Does anyone have a solution for me? Pray share your experience. I need to wash! Thank you.
