We solved the 'DC' error code with a related fix to the washer suspension rods. Thanks to the community for pointing us to the source of the problem, and to the excellent youtube video on how to replace these. However, we decided to try just adding new lubricant to the suspension rods, before ordering new ones. We bought good lithium grease, followed the video's instructions on removing the suspension rods, greased up the plastic connections, and put the rods back in. So far, we've washed without the DC error. I suspect, eventually, we'll have to do the full replace, but, at least, we've delayed the cost.
Well. I went through most of the 23 pages of suggestions and empathizers. I guess I'm one of the Samsung victims too. My top loader decides to stop working after the wash cycle. I then change it to Rinse+Spin which runs for about 20 min and stays stuck on Rinse. I restart the process a couple of times and it normally completes. I thought I had the rinse and repeat (pun intended process down. But this time, I'm on my 4th cycle and it hasn't completed yet. By my calculations, it must have drank and drained a small lake by now. I've done some of the suggestions but none have worked. I did not replace a part yet because when I babysit it, most of it worked until now.
I refuse to pay Samsung over $300 to look at it plus all the other fees. They still can't guarantee it will after that. How can I get in on the complaint? What's the best place to report this issue. My research (google) has told me this type of problem has been occurring since 2013ish. Obviously Samsung won't do anything about it. Now, I've changed my mission from fixing to holding Samsung responsible. I'll eventually buy a new non-Samsung washer when I can afford to do so. So please provide suggestions on how and where I can make the complaints. Thanks in advance. Power to the Samsung nay-sayers. Maybe I'll start a website for it...hmm.
Nothing described here fixes the issue. My washer (MDL WA48H7400AW/A2) will not spin in the spin cyce. It will spin during the wash cycle but not the spin cycle. This remains constant no matter which wash mode I use. The problem IS NOT a balance issue, IS NOT a suspension issue, IS NOT a motor issue, it is a PCB issue. Seems that Samsmug wants me to buy replacement parts for a $1,000 machine that is only a few years old or buy a new machine. After researching I have found that this is a common problem across several models and affects hundreds of machines, yet Samsmug refuses to acknowlege it or accept any responsibility for the defective PCB.
I seem to be having I think a similar issue. I do not receive any error codes, but the clothes are sopping wet after the spin cycle is supposedly complete. I should not be able to easily wring out a cotton tshirt by hand after the machine has supposedly done its job...help!!
I have had my washer for about 4 years now and we are kicking it out the door tomorrow. Never to buy another samsung product. I have told anyone who is looking for an appliance to steer away from Samsung. The day after my warranty was up, the washer broke. Repairman came charged me $180 to step in the door. Told me the problem and the repair price.in the vicinity of $409. Told me the $180 would go towards fixing it but operator on phone told me differently. We went to an appliance supply store. Ordered Parts's at $90. My husband fixed it in 15 mins. Our machine is part of the recall .flying door.. we were sent a sticker to cover the controls so that we cant use the machine as it should be used. But soon after, and currently the machine is not spinning. It is of no use to me now.Too many problems in a short time with this machine. We paid around $700 for it as well. Thought it was quality. But it's not. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MACHINE
