My WF45H6300AG/A2 washer powers on normally and I can select a cycle and press the start button normally. The machine then hums for a few seconds (the drain pump, I assume), then nothing else happens. The cycle timer doesn't count down and it just sits there like it's not getting a signal to move on to the next step. The door never locks. The "Garment +" icon shows in red on the display. There is no error code. (I did get an 8E error once, but that was just one time out of around 15 attempts, so it could be a coinicidence.) I have already tried unplugging the machine, checking the hoses for clogs, cleaning the filter, and checking for loose wires and connections inside the back panel.
I've seen a couple of similar posts here, but there has been no verified solution. Recommendations have included replacing the main control board, the door lock mechanism, and the Assy sensor. I'd like some guidance before I start randomly replacing parts. I don't know if this is relevant, but the metal pin/latch on the door that fits inside the body of the washer itself when you close the door is loose and jiggles. Is that normal or could it be a sign of a faulty latch?

Despite Samsung's firm insistence on not being helpful, I was able to fix my washer by replacing the ASSY sensor, as a few other people with similar washer symptoms reported doing.

Unfortunately the mods here are not qualified to offer parts suggestions, our only recommendation is a repair with a certified technician. You are welcome to use the following link to seek a local authorized repair center though: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location

I'm not necessarily just looking for parts to buy; I want to know based on the symptoms what the problem might be. Other people have reported similar problems so I know this isn't a unique problem. It would be a big help to me to know the cause of the problem so I know if it will be worth the money to have it repaired or if I should just replace it.

Sadly this also means that we are unable to offer an exact diagnosis of any symptoms. If you desire one, a service manual can also be purchased from www.samsungparts.com. I am sorry I couldn't offer more details for your question.

Can't you not guide us where and what to look for regarding this issue instead of referring us to a service tech or buy your manual???

UNbeleivable hey?
".......on not being helpful" sums up samsung to a T. Have lots to say, but im sure you do not need a back story.
My washer, less than 1 yr old is acting in the same way yours once was....i am replying to you for an update if possible re:assy sensor & its "fix" for your issue....curious to know if everything is still alright?
If so i am going to replace the assy sensor.
Kind regards,
Mike

Still working. ASSY sensor replacement was very easy. The one I bought was Part Number DC93-00278D. There are some cheap used ones on E b a y.

Just curious if this solved this problem for you. I'm having the same issue.
