I have a 5.0 cu. ft. Extra Large Capacity Smart Front Load Washer with Super Speed Wash and Steam in Brushed Black,bl model WF50BG8300AVUS. It was purchased just over 12 months ago, which puts it out of the limited warranty range. The washing machine started having a very significant leak that seem to come out of nowhere. After removing the rear panel I could see that there was evidence of rust pouring out of the rear bearing of the washing machine drum. After noticing this I downloaded the service manual from the Samsung website and took off the front panel. Looking underneath the washing machine I could see that the seam on the plastic outer shell of the drum, had a section that was plastic welded together. That weld failed in a spot at the bottom of the drum that it is now split. I'm not sure if the leak is coming from there but it's definitely a good possibility. After inspecting the great amount of rust that piled up from the rear bearing, my assumption is that it failed a while ago creating more vibration and friction to the drum itself. With that reaction, the well that was already weak completely failed. I feel this is a manufacturer defect that they should assist me in this issue without cost me. Does anyone else have this issue or have heard of this issue with Samsung washing machines? It makes me question if I want to buy another Samsung product in the future after spending $1,200 on this unit just a little over a year ago.
