Washers and DryersWA422PRHDWR/AA - We've had this machine since 2014
The machine powers on fine, can select the cycle and everything. Once I close the lid and press the "Start" button, it's as if it doesn't recognize that the lid is closed. It just constantly does the "Ding! Ding!" bell noise like the lid is still open.
It's been going on for about a month now. I can usually FINALLY get it to start after doing things like blowing in the sensor area where the latch is (to make sure no dust is interfering), barely closing the lid, sometimes slamming the lid, moving my finger around the latch and sensor. LOL there is no rhyme or reason - just sometimes it will magically *start* after doing those things. Lately it's been taking me atleast 5 mins for it to finally recognize that the lid is indeed closed and start the cycle.
Anyone had this issue and successfully been able to fix it? Possible lid latch sensor going out? I don't want to buy a new machine - although we've consistently had issues with this one.
Appreciate any help or advice!
