Washer grinding and not agitating

My samsung activewash superspeed aquajet washer suddenly began grinding and seeming to not agitate or wanting to spin. It sounds horrible and is no longer running loads of laundry and we've only had this washer approximately 3 years. Help me! We can't afford a new washer.

Sounds like a transmission. We have the homesheild appliance insurance so it cost us not 467 for just the part but only 60 for the claim and the monthly fee so might try that route
