Washers and DryersI bought a top loading washer, model number WA45T3200AW, about two months ago. When it finishes filling the first time, a loud surge goes through my pipes and it sounds like someone is banging on them for about a minute. I guess it's water hammer, but I don't know for sure. I know the source is the washer.
I've tried two different arrestors in different places and lowering water pressure. I've checked all the pipes and they are secure. Nothing is helping. It is very loud and I'm afraid my pipes will burst. I can't find anyone else who is having this issue with this machine.
I appreciate any suggestions or help with this, because I am out of ideas.

Washers and Dryers@Mekaleka This sounds quite annoying. Luckily it isn't a problem with your washer. This can even happen when faucets are turned off.
If you haven't been able to resolve it, I would consult a plumber.

Washers and DryersTurn off water to house
Turn on faucet to pipe connected to washer (slope sink)
Once all water is drained out, Turn the water back on.
Youre basically bleeding the line and getting air back in the pipe.
Feel free to hmu with any other questions or concerns you may have. š

Washers and Dryers@Shelliam Sorry but adding air to your water lines is a bad idea. It can cause sputtering and uneven water pressure.
