Our flexwash was her has the code “LC1” on it, asking us to check the drain pipe. The drain pipe is completely cleared and the troubleshooting code will not go away. We have four kids and do laundry on a daily basis. We bought this washer just 6 months ago. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah I bought this machine when it first came out thinking how great this would be for my newborns clothes and sleep sacks. I've had techs out twice who have both said they have no idea, but it seems the tilt forward method is a remedy. I find this unacceptable and am curious what Samsung will be doing to remedy this before a lawsuit is filed for their defective "premium" machine causing damage or causing an injury when someone is hurt trying to get it to operate by tilting it .

Same issue here as well.

Have raised a service technician request - Ticket Number 2208619774.

If this can be resolved without service technician I'm all for out, but I doubt cause I've tried hte following so far (short of leaving it overnight). So far 4 hours into the issue.

1. Unplugged for a couple of hours and plugged back in (same issue, same error code goes in beep cycles)

2. Used the emergency drain pipe to look for any water drain (very litle trickled out). Pluged back in, same issue

Background

1. This happen in the middle of a top washer cycle. Did not have the bottom washer running at all, not before, not during and not after hte top cycle

2. Did not use any bleach or fabric softener in the top washer cycle (just a delicate load with HE detergent in the aqua pebble

Thanks.

So we have had this problem as well (error code 1cl1 & 1cl), where we get the error code in middle of the top washer.  The problem is (in my opinion this is a horrible design flaw) there is a lint tray/filter in the top washer that is on the inside side wall of the spindel/drum that gets clogged (looks like a gray sqaure -- the manual says to clean it every 10 washes).  If you don't clean that lint tray/filter, as the drum spins it won't expel water out it just keeps raising the water level until it overflows and spills into the fabric softener tray (if you take a look at your top fabric softener tray you may see it full of water) as well as over the top drum.  That water than flows into the catch pan at the bottom of the washer which has a water sensor that stops the machine from operating because it thinks that the machine is overflowing with water.  Unfortunately it doesn't detect which drum (top or bottom) is causing the issue so it put error messages on both top and bottom units.

To fix this issue, clean out the lint tray in the top unit and then tilt the unit forward so that all the water in the catch tray spills out, which clears out the sensor.  Of course if you wait long enough, the water will evaporate from the catch tray and it will reset itself, but if you don't clean out that lint tray you will get into the issue again quickly.

THIS!!!  Absolutely solved our problem.  Our little upper washer lint trap was absolutely stuffed full of lint.  Don't forget to check the debris filter down below (behind the little door at the bottom of the unit just under and to the left of the front door) as well.  The first time this happened to us it was because the debris filter was clogged.  Many, MANY thanks...

Try these steps:

Moisture is detected somewhere it doesn't belong, or there is an issue with the sensor itself.

  1. First, look for evidence of a leak. Sometimes leaks are so small they go unnoticed. If you find a leak, fixing the leak will fix the error.
  2. Check that the hoses behind the washer (supply hoses and drain hose) are not kinked.
  3. Run an empty cycle with no additives (detergent, fabric softener, etc.) and see if suds appear during the cycle. If they do, it means too much detergent or a non-HE detergent has been used. Continue to run empty cycles until there are no more suds, and then see if the code appears again.

If you still receive the error message, please send a private message with the serial number: http://bit.ly/2XERsky

You can't run a cycle in an lc1 or 4c error mode!

Nothing will clear the codes!

You all have several serious design flaws!

Issue a recall and address the problem.

This is my second time with this error code.  This is a design flaw.  I cannot put fabric softener or bleach in the dispensers in top washer without this happening.......we all need to get together and get Samsung to do something.

I too have recently been having this same issue (along with a grinding dryer).

1.  Lint filter in top washer is clean.

2.  Am not running the top and the bottom at the same time.

3.  Am not using too much detergent as there are little to no suds in the washer.

4.  Tilting this forward only drains the water from inside the casing of the washer.  And then when I restart the same issue occurs again.

What I'm witnessing is that water is filling up in the fabric softener dispenser and it is not draining out of the bottom of the dispenser, rather it is overflowing over the top of the dispenser sending water down the inside of the washer and where it ends up all over the floor.

It appears that the drain in the fabric softener dispenser is "stuck".  It's not clogged, because the hole won't "open" allowing water to drain down--so now it drains up and over, all over the inside of the washer ending up all over the floor.

I have scheduled service.  But in reading the reviews of the company who will be performing the service, I am not hopeful that any resolution will be found.

These washers and dryers (am having problems with the dryer too) are only 10 months old.  I paid WAY TOO much money for these to be having these types of issues.
