@ userfo2VqfBH09; Thank you for reaching out to us. The New Note9 will be as up to date as possible with the latest Bluetooth technology. I recommend making sure your Sena device is as up to date as possible as well. You may also need to check with your Sena 30k manufacturer, to be sure it is compatible with your new device. Many manufacturers have online compatibility checkers. Keep us posted on the results.

I have the same problem, but with 4 different Bluetooth devices (2 cars, stereo, headset), none of them work with the note 9, and all of them work with s6, s7 edge and s8. Dont tell me I need to update the Bluetooth devices when the fault obviously lies with the note 9. I have cleared the Bluetooth cache without any difference.

Hello @userSrclr5YFox, thank you for the information you provided. Do you mind giving these steps a try to see if we can get the Note 9 connected to your bluetooth devices?
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
When the device logo screen displays, release only the Power key
When the Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight ‘wipe cache partition.’
Press the Power key to select.
Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘yes’ a press the Power key to select.
When the wipe cache partition is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
Press the Power key to restart the device.

that doesnt work on the note 9 since there is no home key. my device will not find other device names, it will not pair with anything other than iphones. there is clearly a problem with the note 9 bluetooth. my Sena 30k is the newest model and updated. it works with every other phone except the note 9. my note will not pair with anything.

I tried the above solution, and it worked, clearing the cache that is. Now my Note 9 connects to the different bluetooth devices.
BUT, do note (lol) that you have to push the "power" button, "volume up" button and the "bixby" button to get into the menu, NOT the "home" button.

I did this and it was partially successful . A speaker paired however it would not detect or pair with the akg bluetooth headphones that were supplied with the phone! The headphones do pair with my iPad so it's not the headphones but rather the phone. Please help as this phone costs a $1000!
