I have good news, the problem has been fixed! I went into the settings of the TV, went to Network, Screen mirroring, allowed devices, then I clicked my phone (it wasn't set to deny, it was still at allow) and deleted it from the list, then I went into Samsung Connect on my phone and deleted the TV from the list. Then I added the TV to my phone and all works well again!

i contacted Samsung support cause I have the same problem the said that the screen mirroring works with Wi-Fi I am not real save with the kind of thing bit many if you unplug the Ethernet cable and use a wireless connection it will work never hurts to try

I have a Samsung galaxy A5 (2016).
screen mirroring feature is not available in this phone. Therefore it couldn’t connect with smart tv.
is there any chances Samsung brings new updates and add this features for Samsung A5 phone???
