Yes, it's paired to the app and I can make changes on the phone, which are quickly replicated on the watch.

Just got the Gear S3 for Christmas and having the same issue. I have tried it several times over the last 2 days and it has worked maybe 3 times. It's very discouraging to see that this thread was started in March and the problem has not been resolved

Got mine a few days ago and have not been able to get it to work
