Have you seen the app Google Blocks?? I had never even heard of it surprisingly but it has many options for setting up stuff just like this. It's a Google app on Play Store. Maybe it will help you out.

If you haven't received that particular update yet then most likely its Carrier related as Samsung has issued the update to all carriers. From there on they have to incorporate and update any and all of their Carrier apps (Bloatware) into the UI to make sure it runs properly. Imagine if you were grouped for a Science Fair Project and 3/4 the work was done and the project was built but you are still waiting on that person in the group to finish their section of the report. It's like that. Could contact your carrier and press them for a more exact time of the update. Hope this Helps

it's your carrier. I'm on an A10e with Straight Talk and got Septembers Patch and Octobers update already. I'd contact MetroPCS and see if they are able to give you a date as to when. You'll enjoy the update as it polished alot of different things like brightening the buttons and incorporating Dark Mode into more apps and what not. It's a Carrier thing. Hope this Helps

Yes It Does. I recommend getting the Samsung DeX Type-C cord. There is also a great app to download if you search the store that makes the connection seamless. Also if you open up your Developers options, in the USB section you will find many different options of what to use as a standard for plugging in your adapter. Normally you will get a notification when plugging in your device though so it's not much needed but comes in handy for quicker connection.

could mean a couple of things. if you have viewed and edited the lighting, duration, or any other part of the video then that could be the modification it means. If it has been compressed or upscale for a different size viewing then that could also be the modified part. Any changes from the original way it was filmed is a mod , even a duplication of the file itself

there are also a laundry list of USB options in Developers Mode if you get a chance to scroll through it. Your connection issues might just be an adjustment to the setting for example: switching it from Upload photos to USB Debugging or MIDI etc. I'd say that is what is causing the issue. I'm not familiar enough with the BETA that rolled out but considering the BETA is for Developers , it stands to reason that one or more of those options might be checked or unchecked causing the computer not to read the device correctly. oh I gotcha yeah I think they removed it. I use Hacker Keyboard. its 3rd party from the play store. lots of functionality and it still has the quick keyboard switch on it. I think it's just a Samsung thing they might have removed . Not for sure though

tap the 3 dots next to the gear on your keyboard (top right) and then hit Mode .. Open up your Settings Menu Go to General Management. there you will find Language and Input setting and you will be able to add any keyboards you have on the device

yeah it will cast to any screen within the wifi network for example I can cast my phone to my Chromebook my chromebook to my tablet tablet to my tv and on and in. once it's up and running all of your devices will have a cast button . your PC will have extra setting to Cast Device, Mirror the Screen etc. I suggest casting the whole device or Mirror because if you only cast the screen then once you open a new tab it wont show on the applied screen as its locked into that first homescreen. Theres quite a few other options in the Developers Menu to tweak around with also depending on which device you are casting to/from. like I said might not be your end all solution but it has helped me with similar problems as an inexpensive workaround

hmmm if the Wire suggested didnt work maybe you could go grab a Chromecast?? I use it to mirror all of the devices in my house. got one hooked in every tv since they aren't expensive anymore. not the expensive Nests or anything but just the chromecast dongle. dunno if it's the end all be all solution but it mirrors seamlessly

Oh also. If you happen to have a Samsung phone with IR equipped tech then you can always download the Samsung Remote App from the App store and use it. It runs really well and you might end up enjoying it and drop yet another remote that gets lost or laying about the house. my phone doesnt have an IR sensor sadly but there are countless ones that do. Having all your controls in a device that stays with you normally anyways might end up being more convenient

yeah I'd recommend going to Samsung website and just purchasing a new one . With all the time and effort you will spend researching what "possible" solutions it "could" be it could already be on the way to delivery if that makes sense. I've had a remote fairly new go out on me and it ended up being a cracked reflective glass inside the molding. I had to pay $24 but it was nothing compared to the countless hours I'll never get back researching the solution. Sometimes you just gotta Chuck it in the Bucket and make a decision of what's more costly the $30 or the 30 hours

I would think , though not it's intended use, that the Macbook Pro is already setup for the cable and if your external display is already equipped to receive through the cable then it shouldn't be a problem whether you have a Samsung device or not. that whole section of capability seems more technology improvement based as opposed to company locked. Seems like in the next coming years it will become standard so maybe you are just ahead of the growing trend. I'd say go for it

I've experienced similar instances with sound dropping out. I figured out that while Samsung has done a great job with ATMOS and delivering a true "3d experience" Sadly, not all shows and movies are recorded under that same process so channeled sounds that would normally come through the front sometimes never come at all which is due to the fact of the 2ch delivery. that's why with other Soundbars that are less equipped and set at a 2Channel Stereo you will hear sound as opposed to Atmos where when a truck is coming from behind in the movie it wouldn't make sense to hear it coming directly in front of you. I would try changing your presets to 2 channel just to be sure you are getting sound through your speakers correctly and keep in mind that some audio video recordings aren't as far advanced as the technology that you have purchased so Hope's of getting Fried Green Tomatoes in 3d when it was recorded in 2 channel stereo just isn't feasible though there are presets that enhance the audio. I personally dont own any Soundbars from Samsung but own several Home Theater Systems and know that it sometimes takes a bit of tweaking depending on what devices which hardware and what type of material you are using. I even have a Sony system with the same trouble as you are having where I will have to cycle through the presets until I find one that works well with the tv, a dvd, pandora, etc . it's just the recording and delivery

yeah its compatible. theres also a samsung dex app you'll probably wanna snag from the play store that improves the features. some of the DeX still doesnt play well with the connection but for the most part it runs seamless
