It's not unusual for the S10 to get warm when charging. If there's an overheat condition the S10 will shut down automatically. Unless it's doing that, it is working as it should.

Have you added sleeping apps within Settings > Device care < Battery (touch the 3 dots in the upper-right) > Settings > Sleeping apps? Put all your apps in there (except the ones you know will need to run in the background, such as Android Auto, text messages or music apps that need to run when the device is idle). Otherwise some apps will run rampant and drain the battery when your S10 is sleeping.
Poor signal/service will also contribute to battery drain and won't necessarily show up in the battery status area.

If you're experiencing random crashing - 3rd-party apps may be the cause. You can power the device off and boot into Safe mode (just hold the power button while the device is on then hold the "power off" icon until it says "Safe mode"and allow the S10 to reboot into it). Check to find out if the crashes occur while in Safe mode. Deleting the cache partition resolves many of the app crash behavior people are posting about - power off the S10, then hold volume up + bixby button + power button until Recovery loads. While in Recovery, choose to "wipe the cache partition" then reboot. Most of the time that will fix the random crashing. If all else fails, a factory data reset is a last resort. That'll reset the firmware back to factory and allow you to start fresh with a stable firmware.

Your replacement phone could exhibit the same issues...as one reply has already noted, some customers have received multiple S10's because the replacements failed as well. Make sure the latest firmware updates are installed the instant you get past initial setup on your replacement S10. Your S10 may arrive with the latest firmware installed. If that's the case, it shouldn't have any problems.
Sprint was the first to receive the update...the other carriers (Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile) also had the same issues with S10's losing mobile network connectivity. All the carriers have since pushed out updates that prevent the mobile network connectivity problems. If any S10's exhibited network problems prior to the update, those S10's all needed to be replaced/repaired because at that point the hardware had already failed. No software update will fix fried hardware.

There is no toggle within the Bluetooth "cog" settings that will allow you to flip on/off call log permissions. Bluetooth is granted read/write permissions to the call log by default. You can't change this setting as it's set by the OS.
I ran into this same issue after my S9+ updated to Android 9 "Pie". After connecting via bluetooth, my recent call history was no longer accessible, which I used quite often to dial frequent contacts instead of searching for them or typing in their number/info manually. I also noticed that contact photos would show up incorrectly. Obviously something was out of whack/corrupted, so I went ahead and initialized my bluetooth pairing with my vehicle...
There are a few things to try (not sure how much troubleshooing you've done so far)...first, remove the bluetooth pairing from your S10+ (Settings > Connections > Bluetooth > click on the cog and "unpair"), as well as deleting the S10+ from you're vehicle's bluetooth device list. Make sure the device is gone, off the device list in your car Bluetooth settings.
Next, power off your S10+, boot to Recovery (volume up + Bixby button + power button...hold all 3 until Recovery loads), and choose to wipe the cache partition. Reboot your S10+. Go ahead and re-pair the S10+ with your vehicle...agree to allow it to have access to everything it asks for...contacts, messages, etc. This should re-do your device pairing and your call log history should show up again. That's what got my call log history showing again...no guarantees it'll work in your situation, but worth a try.
As a last-ditch effort, you can always reset your network settings...this is drastic because it'll wipe out all your Wifi settings, your Bluetooth pairings, everything. The process varies based on carrier...for Sprint, open up your Phone app, dial ##72786# and your S10+ will reboot itself. Network settings will be completely reset.

My second (replacement) S10+ I noticed ran warm at random (not just when charging) when I first started using it. After completely wiping the device and flashing the latest firmware directly onto the device, it hasn't run warm since (going on 2 weeks now).

So I figured out that the Secure Folder seems to be backed up and restored separately from everything else on my S10+.
In the event that I need to Restore my S10 from Samsung Cloud...does the restore have to be done from a new instance of Secure Folder on the restored phone, or will it be restored automatically from doing a Restore from Settings > Accounts and backup > Samsung Cloud > Restore data?
It seems that the device back up does NOT include anything backed up from the Secure Folder. Just curious as the backup process was somewhat confusing. Thanks.

From my experience, having had one S10+ power down at 85-90% battery after heating up abruptly while in my pocket (then never powering on again under any circumstances), the overheat condition is not caused by charging. Some heating while charging is not unusual...my S8+/S9+ would also warm up especially when fast charging, then cool back down once the charge surpassed 90%. The S10+ seems to do the same.
The problematic heating seems to occur when the S10+ is connected normally to a mobile LTE network. The rear-center of the device heats up (not hot to the touch but noticeably warm), and what will usually get it to cool back down is to quickly Optimize within Settings > Device care. Sometimes rebooting, powering on into Recovery mode and wiping the cache partition will also help stop the heating (during normal use of the S10+).
I've noticed that my replacement S10+ has run warm a few times while I was out and about connected to LTE, but it has cooled back down on its own after optimizing within Device care, and has not auto powered off (if that happens again, I'll probably be dealing with another dead S10+).

As long as the phone is functional you probably won't get very far.
The S10+ in particular seems to have problems with heat dissipation, especially when its connected to a mobile network vs. WiFi, and my hand is on the back of the phone because I'm actively using it. The more apps that pull data from the S10+'s LTE connection, the more the device warms up. Sometimes running a quick "Optimize now" within Settings > Device care can help as it will close/put apps to sleep that aren't being used. Give that a try if you notice your S10+ becoming warm.
My first S10+ overheated inside my pocket while I was in a store...when I pulled it out of my pocket it had already shut down by itself on a nearly full battery charge, and never powered on again. My second S10+ (what I'm using now) definitely becomes warm whenever I'm online via LTE and using apps. Makes me concerned that I'll see history repeat itself soon.

@MikePasta Thanks for posting this - downloaded EdgeLighting+ and noticed that the small front camera light does go off for some notifications now (namely WhatsApp and a few others). Previously it didn't.
Holey Light is a nice combination because you can set it up to come on when the S10+ is charging. I disabled it when on battery because having it always on is more of an annoyance than anything else.
Another upstater here (well, Western NY..."Upstate" could mean you're on the opposite side of NY from me!)

Another solution if you're still having issues - Settings > Advanced Features > Motions and gestures > Lift to wake (turn OFF). The lift-to-wake feature is extremely buggy and overly-sensitive...I noticed that lift-to-wake would constantly cause my phone to turn on and off when it was inside my pocket or in a moving car. This causes the S10 to chew through battery, run very warm, and might have caused my first S10+ to fail/die permanently.

Exact same issue here too. Phone worked fine for 3 weeks. Yesterday I noticed it running a little warm. It powered off even though the battery had over a 90% charge on it. Never powered back on despite hours of troubleshooting and volume down + power on attempts. Bricked. Sprint technician confirmed it was dead. Awaiting a new device.
Hopefully these phones don't burn anyone's houses down because there was no reason the phone should've been running warm/hot while in idle/sleep state.

Keep a close eye on it - my S10+ got quite warm before it decided to power off and never power on again. Currently awaiting a replacement for a dead device.
