All phones do the same. Even the iPhone will crop a main sensor shot if conditions dictate. The periscope lens on the Ultra has a 3.0 aperture; you do NOT want low light shots from that sensor. If you're not happy with the results, you should really consider returning the phone for a refund while you can, because it's not a flaw. Another option might be to find a third-party camera app that can force the 5x lens.

Samsung shouldn't advertise those offers the way they do. You WILL NOT receive a single minute of free YouTube Premium, or Spotify, as part of your purchase. They aren't gifts. The offers are meant to snag new users, and they're just free trials any NEW user can get just for asking the respective services. That's why, if you've ever tried the service before, you won't get anything. You COULD try a new email address as a workaround, but I haven't seen what the sign-up requires.

If it's any comfort: every reviewer I've asked has yet to experience the issue, and apparently, PhoneArena was blasted for even publishing the story. Also, I did a search for the issue, and it seems it's nothing new, regardless of brand/model, especially in certain parts of the world.

Yeah...that is not going to be good at all. Condensation is going to create water spots which cannot be wiped off, forever affecting image quality. And Samsung is saying it's normal, so you can bet it won't be addressed. I'm going to keep an eye on the situation, but if it happens to me even once in the first 15 days, it's going RIGHT back. The only comfort I can see is that not a single reviewer has mentioned anything like it.

If you're leaving Samsung, going to Apple is going BACKWARDS. Consider, for example, the Note 20 Ultra. Yes, it's expensive at $1300, but I bought an iPhone 11 Promax for my daughter last year which was even more expensive, and the Note is vastly superior. My advice, fwiw: stick to Android, if not Samsung.

While you're in the Play Store, make sure you hit "No" in answer to "Was this review helpful" on every five star review. First, you'll notice they actually aren't. Second, it'll help Google's algorithm bury those reviews. Even better: report them as the canned breakfast meat that they are.

One workaround: Turn off auto-update for apps in both the Play and Galaxy Stores. Go to SamMobile website, to their Downloads tab. Search for "Music" app, and download the .19 version (last without ads). Install. Enjoy. I'm still ditching Samsung as a result of what they've done though.

It's not an issue. Samsung says it "makes your flagship experience better," so you'd better get used to it. Ads have even been seen in OneUI itself, and it's just a matter of time before we all get that "feature."

Yup. They're losing me too. Been watching reviews of a Japanese competitor phone which seems to have amazing photography chops...and no ads in their apps. Just need to figure out what I'm going to do with the Note10+, and how well my Galaxy watches will work with that other phone. But yeah...Samsung went too far. I'll be losing all my Galaxy Store purchases, but it'll be worth it.

My biggest dilemma this year was going to be: Note20, or Fold 2? Samsung just lost this customer over this. Switching to Sony or Apple. According to every tech blog, Samsung is even bringing ads to OneUI! Your lock screen, notification shade, and EVERY first-party app is going to be serving ads. No way I'm paying $1500+ for that "feature." Samsung...you messed up; what were you thinking?! If you haven't already, make your voice heard on the Play Store ratings!

Two things I've tried since yesterday, after which my Watch is showing the battery life it used to: turned off "auto-switch" (I have a Watch and Active 2), and I kill Samsung Health every chance I get. The heart rate sensor seemed to be taking readings of my bedside table, so maybe that's been my issue. Or not. But so far, so good.

I reset my GW last night after a week of abysmal battery life all of a sudden. I did not restore any backups, so the watch is basically bone stock. Overnight, things looked promising: 2% used in 6 hours of no use on my bedside table, when I picked it up to check. But the next time I picked it up (still not used) the battery had plummeted to 60% in less than four hours. I charged it fully again and wore it for a couple of hours. Again, it was sipping battery, losing only a couple % in about three hours. Put it on a kitchen counter while I cooked, and came back two hours later to find it at 58%! The worse part is the HORRIBLE battery tracking available for the watch. It shows "Settings" as the number on culprit, but what the heck does THAT mean?! What is Settings doing to destroy the battery? Moderators should not be allowed to promote their answers as solutions, unless they really solve people's problems. If they don'tknow what they're talking about, they shouldn't comment. "Do a factory reset" is boilerplate nonsense.
