I'd rather see Samsung spend the energy getting Galaxy phone integration with Google messages optimized than waste effort on their own app. Also it allows Google to lead the way at getting RCS to be the standard for messaging. Also I won't have to have 2 system level messaging apps.

Clearing cache partition is really necessary on this beta. I feel like the data restore it does on the install brings back data that is no longer relevant in Android 14, thus causing crashes.

The beta programs for Samsung will include some obvious bugs. Also the next beta may not even be built off the same code thread. They've had multiple builds before and merged parts. It's not always what you'd expect but after a few of them it starts to make sense. It's definitely not for people who expect a cleaner beta process.

Then you never had one where they needed a hot fix. I remember when they sent out one with a bad kernel. Also another had literal superuser file issues.

I plan to after. I have always noticed slight changes when I do and allow apps to set themselves up fresh on the new OS. Not everyone wants the hassle, though.

Wipe cache in recovery. I was having the Starbucks app and a banking app force close as they opened. Once I wiped cache in recovery everything worked fine again.
