Most likely it is the apps you're using. Too many requests for info/data/location can result in bad battery life.

@userggCu5oW3Bw so what you're saying basically is buy a Samsung phone, but then disable all ability to access any Samsung products or features. No Samsung account? That means no Secure Folder, and no secondary back up countermeasures in case your phone is lost or stolen. No secondary back up for any files either. I just don't get it.

@TexasMoe I just confirmed that assigning any nickname you want to a contact works with Bixby. So if you assign the contact in question though exact spelling Bixby hears when you say the name, it should work. Let me know. :)

I know it could be kind of strange, but if you assign a nickname to your contact with the name Bixby is picking up, it should work. In this context, the nickname would be a sort of "Bixby contact" due to the different spellings. In all honesty though, there is zero way for a human to understand which spelling of the name is meant when spoken aloud either. Whichever data bank Bixby draws common spellings for names from will be changing over time. I know Bixby isn't perfect, but I look forward to what Bixby has to offer in the future

@userQJVGMHw1I4 seriously? Without permission? Pretty sure you buying their device is all the permission they need. People who don't try out something before they buy such an expensive device and then complain that "it's all Samsung's fault!" really are baseless. Many people love Bixby. Sorry, just because you feel strongly about something, doesn't make your opinion the only one that matters. Hope that helped! Cheers! ;)

@userXOAVBmrYyF bon voyage! Enjoy whatever phone you end up getting. Bixby is awesome and can do things other voice assistant can't. Period. I don't know what you're referring to in the way of "pop ups." Bixby only activates when I want her to and leaves me alone when I don't.

*Buys a Samsung phone.* *Doesn'twant any Samsung sevices or apps* *Complains about Samsung 'screwing them over' online* *Bashes Samsung for 'forcing them' to use their services* *Says 'I'm never buying Samsung products ever again!!!'* Maybe instead, one can just purchase a different device? I'm pretty sure most people know that Samsung does, in fact, limit certain settings, and other aspects of their devices. It won't be changing anytime in the near future.
