So I did the service menu clear cache thing and it worked for few days but today when I came home phone automatically connected to 2.4ghz. I guess there is no fix?

So after reading some of 39 pages the issue I'm having when I come into my home wifi the galaxy s8 is only connecting to 2 4 ghz is a known issue? Now if I Forget my home network and put password back in does connect to 5 ghz. Any fix? Did Reset phone network settings but I don't want to do a Factory reset.

Well I'm using the same SSID for both 2.4 & 5 so when I do "Forget" it wipes out for both I believe. So I only have 1 SSID Name set up for my router. When I did have separate SSID and only use 5 ghz I would sometimes get an Exclamation point saying my WIFI was not available.

I'm using same SSID for my home wifi. Every time I return to home my galaxy s8+ only connects to 2 4 ghz not 5 ghz. The 5 ghz is working because my TiVo is connected wirelessly with 5 ghz. Is there any fix for this? Also I did have separate SSID'S and the phone would give me the Exclamation point for not connected. Is this a problem with galaxy s8 phones?

Been intouch via email with Samsung Engineer. They sent me early firmware version 1229.9 and just downloaded to 1230.0 version with 2017 QLED and Vizio Sound bar SB4251. No Pops all week. I'll see how it goes all weekend but I think this has been fixed.

I get the Pops only with Vizio sound bar sb4251w-b4 using with Dolby Digital & Bitstream turned on with TV sound settings. I did try without sound bar for few days and did not get the popping noises coming out of tv speakers. I'm hearing next firmware (which should be available June 4th) will resolve the popping issue. Will see.

I'm still having the issue with random Pop noise using with TiVo Bolt+, Vizio SB4251W-B4 Sound bar and QN55Q7FAMFXZA. Using PCM is not what I want to use when my sound bar can output Dolby Digital. Gotta believe firmware glitch with Bitstream using Dolby Digital in the TV sound settings.

Happened this morning with sound bar. I did buy new 4k HDMI cables from Amazon. Not sure if it the cable because I use same HDMI cable with PS3 watching Blu ray movies and have never had the pop noise once. Only happens with TiVo Bolt. Using Dolby Digital with TiVo and Bitstream & Dolby Digital with Samsung tv.

I'm still having the pop with Vizio sound bar. I am using a 4k HDM cable. I think it has something to do with having Bitstream setting on using Dolby Digital settings with Samsung TV. When I watch movies with PS3 I'm not using Bitstream setting with PS3 and get no pops at all.

I'm also still having this issue with my 55 inch Q7F Samsung TV with Vizio Sound bar 4251. On my sound Expert settings with TV I'm using HDMI Input Audio Format: Bitstream and Digital Output Audio Format: Dolby Digital. If change the Digital Output to PCM I receive surround sound in all speakers even if the cable channel not in 5.1 Another words I'm hearing the same thing coming out of Sound bar and also hearing it in my 2 small surround speakers which doesn't seems right.

I'm still having this issue with 55 inch Q7F and Vizio Sound bar SB 4251. Firmware on TV is updated to 1151 and Vizio Sound bar is also updated with their latest firmware. Occasionally a Popping Burst will come out of all speakers. Only happens when using sound bar not TV speakers. Can someone look into? Thanks
