Hi, I do not agree with you on the heart rate tracker and the step counter. My heart rate monitor regularly stops working, I need to restart my watch to get it to work again. At times it shows my heart rate in the 20-30s which is highly inaccurate. And again restarting the watch makes it work properly. The stepcounter only counts steps if you wave your arms. I don't always wave my arms if I have my phone in my hand or I am carrying bags and etcs. I found that the step counter only counts deliberate exercise type walking steps but not a total steps walked in a day. I can be at Costco pushing a cart not get many steps at all. Maybe your perspective is based on what is important to you personally. For me personally step counter and heart rate tracker is very important but the floor counter is not important at all so I do not pay attention to discrepancies and it doesn't bother me at all. But it is important to note that many people who posted on this forum are experiencing step counter and heart rate monitor issues.

This answer is unacceptable!!! That's it! I am looking into a false advertising suit. Because if I am walking around the house all day and barely get 170 steps this is unacceptable! The watch was $350!!! How can Samsung even give such an answer!?

This is a message I received from Samsung moderator on Samsung+. SweetiePie82, it was meant to be fixed with software BRJ4. However, something went wrong and it appears to have made some aspects worse. (Just based on comments and posts from you guys.) We're re-gathering information on those that have updated so that our teams can find out what went wrong and issue a new fix. Sadly, I don't know have any information on when that may be.

I am for the class action suit! 2 months and still no answers really and no real acknowledgement of a problem and no offer of a resolution. How do we do that?

Thanks for letting us know. A moderator from Samsung+ reached out to me in a private message today about the info I already provided to another moderator here 3 weeks ago... The watch number 3 is going back.

I wonder if we can get a better results if we write the CEO. Here is the link. https://www.samsung.com/us/aboutsamsung/company/executives/us-executive-team/

Hello, I am having multiple issues with my watch. I already returned 2 Galaxy Watches, because of failing to register steps, not counting steps. My watch alsi doesnt ways respond to the movement and etc. So I decided to test the sensors on my 3rd watch which also doesn't count steps correctly and etc . The way you can do it is if you go to your PHONE DİALER on your watch you can enter *#0*# this will bring you to a screen where you can select sensors then scroll down to gyroscope and click on SELF. This should self test your sensor. I tested it before and usually PASSED but I tried testing several times and it would PASS and then FAİL! So you might need to test it several times. The fact that its FAILING and PASSİNG might explain why some of the watches issues are intermittent. The moral of the story.... This might not be a software issue!! This is a manufacturing and quality control issue!

İf you are doing it on your phone it will test your phone, but if you are doing on your watch it should test your watch. Gyroscope helps with tracking steps, in short how I understand it, the accelerometer sensor detects one thing, gyro another so they complement each other. There is an algorithm that helps them to do it so I guess if it's off it can't track steps correctly. I tested my watch like 15 times and it PASSED half of the time and also FAILED half. Anyways, I am no scientist... If a sensor fails to me there is a hardware issue.

The fact that the sensor self test keeps FAİLİNG/PASSİNG would explain why it registers some steps but not the others. So it works intermittently. I can't believe the amount of time I spent trying to figure out this issue!

So if you research your answers, then where is the answer to our questions? You are ignoring your customers and ruining your customer relations. So far everyone that sees my watch gets to hear about the horrendous customer service Samsung has and how badly Samsung treats their customers. So your job is worth nothing. You are not helping your customers, not helping the company you work for.

Are you kidding me?!? The best I get is 50%. My phone registers twice the steps than on my watch. My husband's Huawei Watch works perfectly fine, my $20 step counter works great too. The only problem I am having is with the Samsung Galaxy Watch!!! This is an unacceptable answer to a problem you are unwilling to accept. I bought a total of 3 Galaxy watches. And all three have the same problem. This answer is an insult to injury!!!

Thanks for this suggestion but it's not helping. We would like to know when would this update come out. Just got off the phone with Samsung Customer service and according to them there is no reports that there is anything wrong with the watch. And to get the update or find out when it will come out I would need to call Google to see if there is an update that they will be releasing for the Galaxy Watch. This watch is definitely going back. Samsung is not responsible for their broken devices.

Do not know if it has any significance... But my watch counts steps when in power save mode. Don't know why but I discovered it by accident. I hope this is helpful.

Shame on Samsung! You released a brand new device that doesn't work and you have not come up with a solution to fix it? But you took our money .... Right? Ok. My device is going back!
