Samsung Magician v6.2, v6.1, and v6.0 will not open. I completely removed each version, including registry entries and AppData files, before installing the next version. I'm not sure when this issue started because it usually launches at startup and stays in the system tray. I went to use it the other day and it wouldn't load. So, I took to the forums and none of the supposed "fixes" worked for me. I don't use Windows Defender. I tried disabling protection temporarily on my third-party antivirus, but the application still would not launch. Event Viewer had some interesting info. The first error I received was from .NET Runtime: Application: SamsungMagician.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an internal error in the .NET Runtime at IP 608F78A0 (608C0000) with exit code 80131506. The next error I received was an Application Error: Faulting application name: SamsungMagician.exe, version: 188.8.131.52, time stamp: 0x5f4cbaad Faulting module name: clr.dll, version: 4.8.4220.0, time stamp: 0x5f03aaa0 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x000378a0 Faulting process id: 0x38b0 Faulting application start time: 0x01d69b63f1c525cf Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Samsung Magician\SamsungMagician.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\clr.dll Report Id: 374c8fd6-faeb-421d-b83a-19e0e35e281e Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: I noticed it's using .NET v4.0.3. I have the most current version, v4.8, installed. Maybe there's a way to install v4.0 alongside v4.8? I'm not sure though... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
