Model WA5451ANW/XAA TL : DR – Try pulling drain hose out from pipe with 6” left inserted. This worked for some time. Now I force spin in Diagnostic mode. Issue – Washer faults out during spin cycle and enters into a continuous loop of rinse and spin cycles. My issue does not seem to be from unbalanced load, as the drum spins centered when DC error occurs. I have also tried with empty drum, with the same thing happening. History – I used the recall to get additional (1) year of warranty. 1st service rep changed the suspension springs; but this did not resolve issue. 2nd service rep changed the MEMS (balance) sensor; this also did not fix issue. 3rd service rep pulled the drain hose out of pipe so it was only 6” inserted. His rationale was that water was not draining properly if drain hose was too deep into the pipe. Surprisingly, this did fix the issue for about 9 months. Temporary Workaround – I am now out of the additional warranty from recall. To avoid hand wringing clothes, I now use the Spn test in Diagnostic mode (press and hold Spin and Soil Level buttons before turning on). This spins the drum at its max RPM ,and I get no DC error. The drum does come to somewhat of an abrupt stop when you stop the test, with some braking mechanism (doesn’t sound good). Not sure how this will affect durability. But anyway this gets me by for now before buying a new non-Samsung branded washer.
